Carols by Candlelight
Fa la la la la,
Carols by Candlelight
7pm. Sunday December 11th at Berowra Uniting Church
This year we are supporting the Hornsby Women’s Shelter. All money raise on the night – from donations, the sausage sizzle, the sweets etc will go to the Shelter
Come and enjoy a sausage sizzle, sing carols, listen to some fantastic musicians and finish with a wander through the neighbourhood to see the Christmas lights display. This year we will have our Carols on the lawn! Bring along your picnic rug, your family and your voices! This is a family friendly activity and alcohol-free event.
The Hornsby and Ku-Ring-Gai Women’s Shelter (HKWS) is the only women’s shelter on the upper North Shore providing emergency accommodation and support to female victims of domestic violence and homelessness.
At Carols by Candlelight, we will have a Sausage Sizzle and Cake Stall to benefit the Shelter, as well as a speaker from the Shelter will come and share some of their story.
At the Carols we will have Giving tree – a Christmas Tree set up for anyone and everyone to contibute one or more of the below items. We will collect items that the Shelter needs. They have specifically asked for:
Individual Christmas Hampers with body lotions, perfumes, moisturisers and related items. We have plentiful supplies of hygiene products, so hampers that focus on ‘the luxuries’ are always appreciated.
Stationery items – pens, white board markers, copy paper and art suppliers (colour pencils, paintbrushes, water paints etc)
Nespresso coffee pods for use in the centre co ee machine by our clients.
Also – Calling all bakers – want to cook up a storm? We’re going to crowd-source a cake stall. If you are interested and able, why not whip up a cake or a slice or bikkies or fudge or a chocolate souffle or anything in between and bring it along on the night where we will add it to the cake stall and sell. All money raised from the cake stall (and BBQ for that matter) will be donated to the Hornsby Women’s Shelter. Cake for a cause:)
